Purchase Agreement/Health Guarantee

Thank you for deciding to purchase one of our puppies. We want to make this a stress-free, enjoyable experience for you. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns that you might have along the way. We will keep you up to date with information about your puppy as it grows until it is time for your puppy to go to its forever home.

This contract is written for the protection of both the breeder and the buyer – However, it is primarily written to protect the health and general well-being of the puppy.

We, the breeder, always have the option to choose pick of litter before anyone on the waiting list is contacted.

Purchase Agreement

Please read the health guarantee completely before putting a deposit on a puppy. 

By putting a deposit on a puppy, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions within the contract. All deposits will be deducted from the total price.

We require a $300 dollar deposit in order to hold the puppy of your choice.

The deposit can be made by whatever choice you feel better with, we have cash options and use Good Dog payment threw there website. If you choose Good Dog payment we have a link that can be sent or if you are local, then we will accept cash. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we accept checks.

To make things easier, we let people make payments until time for the puppy to be picked up. The remaining balance is to be paid either the week of pick-up or day of pick-up, NO EXCEPTIONS.

The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE unless there is a problem with the HEALTH of your puppy while in my care. In that case, the buyer will have their choice of a full refund or transferring that deposit toward another puppy.

** Please be certain that you are ready for the time commitment and financial responsibility of a puppy prior to putting a deposit on one. **

Health Guarantee

It will be up to us, the breeders, to decide when the puppy will be ready to go to its new home. Usually at the age of 8 weeks, depending on the weight of the puppy and how easily it is weaned from the mother. We will Not, under any circumstances, let the puppy leave before it is ready.

The puppy will be up to date on shots and deworming at the time of pick-up. It is very important that you continue the vaccinations and deworming. Please do not expose your puppy to other dogs that are not vaccinated until he/she has completed the entire vaccination schedule, around 16-20 weeks old.

The puppy will have been Vet checked and deemed in good health at the time of sale. 

The buyer, at their own expense should have the puppy examined by a licensed Vet within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If the buyer fails to have the vet check completed within 72-hour time frame, the health guarantee is null and void. Documentation including all vet information and copy of first visit statement, must be sent to the breeder within ten days for the health guarantee to be honored.

If within 72 hours, a licensed Vet finds the puppy to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, the puppy may be returned for a full refund – provided the puppy has not been injured or neglected in any way while in buyers care. The Veterinarian must provide a written statement deeming the puppy unhealthy for purchase.

This guarantee does not cover health issues caused by neglect or injury from the buyer.

This guarantee does not include minor illnesses and health issues such as colds, allergies, internal or external parasites or umbilical hernias. However, the breeder will disclose any known illnesses or health issues prior to the final sale.

The breeder cannot assume responsibility for this puppy after the final sale which is the pick-up day. It is the responsibility of the buyer to care for the puppy properly and keep it free from harm. Please remember that your puppy must be treated with great care and protected from danger.

The breeder assumes no responsibility for any medical expenses incurred after the final sale.

The breeder assumes no responsibility for training difficulties or behavior problems. 

The breeder does not guarantee size. We can give the buyer an educated guess as to full grown weight, but there are too many variables besides genetics.

The breeder does not guarantee fertility, EYE COLOR or ability to place in shows. The puppy is strictly sold as a TOP QUALITY PET/ SHOW POTENTIAL.

The breeder is not responsible for puppies which develop Hypoglycemia after the puppy is in the new owner’s possession. As this is most likely due to lack of food.

IF FOR ANY REASON I am unable to keep the puppy, I cannot resell or give to someone else without contacting CROSS ROAD COUNTRY AUSSIES first. I must return the puppy to breeder, at buyers’ expense, with NO refund of purchase price, care or upkeep reimbursement.

Your buyer folder will include a signed copy of this contract, basic information about Australian shepherds plus extra information to help you with your new puppy, health record, vet check results, copy of genetic testing for each parent, and registration application for your puppy which you agree to use our Kennel name first when registering any puppies.

FULL RIGHTS

Means that this offspring shall be registerable with full rights under registration.

LIMITED RIGHTS 

Means that the dog is still registerable, but the dog is a companion/pet only.
